Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information AutoCoHost ("we," "us," "our") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect the minimum needed to deliver the Service. We don't sell your data.
1. Information we collect
We collect information in three buckets:

| Collected automatically | Basic usage data — IP address, browser, device type, pages viewed, referrer, and timestamps — used for security, debugging, and product analytics. |
2. How we use it
- To deliver the Service: analyze your listings, generate reports and recommendations, send results by email.
- To operate billing through our payments processor, Paddle.
- To communicate with you about your account, the Service, or material changes.
- To improve the Service, including evaluating model performance on aggregated, de-identified usage patterns.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. AI processing
We send listing content and your prompts to large language model providers (currently Anthropic) to generate analyses and drafts. These providers process the data on our behalf under contractual data-protection terms and do not use your content to train their public models.
4. Service providers
We share data only with vendors who help us run the Service:
- Paddle — payments and tax (Merchant of Record).
- Anthropic — large language model inference.
- Bright Data — public web data retrieval for listing pages you submit.
- Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure.
- Fly.io — application hosting.
- Cloudflare — DNS, CDN, and email routing.
- Email delivery providers — to send your reports and account notifications.
Each vendor accesses only the data needed for its function and is bound by appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
5. Cookies & tracking
We use a minimal set of cookies and local storage entries: a visitor ID for product analytics, a session token if you're signed in, and any cookies set by Paddle during checkout. We do not use cross-site advertising trackers.
6. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your data within 90 days, except where we're required to retain records for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted and logged. No system is perfectly secure — if we ever detect a breach affecting your data, we'll notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
8. International transfers
AutoCoHost operates from and stores data in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g., EU/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@autocohost.com. We respond within 30 days.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or prominent notice on the Service before the change takes effect. The "Effective date" at the top of this page reflects the latest version.
